Where floors are permanently wet, soapy or greasy, a standard sole tread is not enough. The non-slip safety shoes presented here use an outsole with angled cuts arranged in a scale pattern, as known from professional deck shoes: as the foot lands, the sipes open, displace the water film and grip the floor with hundreds of fine edges. The result is exceptionally high slip resistance in wet conditions – tested to EN ISO 20345 (SRC or SR). The flat sole is non-marking and self-cleaning, making it suitable for sensitive floors in hygiene areas too.

How the scale-pattern sole works
- Angled scale-pattern cuts on sole and heel: hundreds of fine gripping edges deliver the highest slip resistance on wet and soapy surfaces.
- Flat outsole: large contact area, stable footing, no tilting – ideal on tiles, stainless steel and coated industrial floors.
- Non-marking and self-cleaning: no streaks on light-coloured floors, no residue, suitable for sensitive production areas.
- Two sole options: dual-density PU sole with HRO rubber (heat-resistant up to 300 °C contact heat, oil-resistant) for kitchens, welding and industry – or a lightweight mono-PU sole for dry to damp hygiene areas.

Frequently asked questions about non-slip work shoes
Which work shoes are genuinely non-slip on wet floors?
What matters is not the protection class but the tread pattern and rubber compound of the outsole. Soles with fine, angled sipes (scale pattern) displace the water film and achieve significantly higher friction values in wet conditions than coarse-cleated treads. Look for the SRC or SR marking.
Which safety shoes are suitable for kitchens and catering?
White S2 models in wipe-disinfectable microfibre with hook-and-loop fastening (no laces that collect dirt), a non-slip scale-pattern sole and – for hot floors or grease – an HRO rubber sole. For cold rooms, choose a model with additional cold insulation (CI).
Do the soles leave streaks on light-coloured floors?
No. The scale-pattern sole is non-marking and self-cleaning – it is therefore also suitable for cleanrooms, food production and coated floors.
