Anti-slip underlay is a non-adhesive, cut-to-size fabric with a slip-resistant coating that stops objects from sliding – in ships’ galleys, kitchens, vehicles, machinery and logistics. By combining a robust woven fabric with a special slip-resistant coating, this material provides a secure hold on a wide variety of surfaces.
Properties & benefits of the anti-slip fabric
Our anti-slip underlays are made from a polyester/glass yarn fabric with a slip-resistant coating; they hold their shape, are hard-wearing and are made in Germany. They are available in three versions, all in black:
- Exact grid mat – close-meshed grid fabric (mesh size approx. 0.5 × 0.5 cm), PVC-coated on both sides, approx. 2.5 mm thick, tested by TÜV SÜD, washable at 60 °C. For trades, industry, transport, retail and the home.

- PRA21/6 thin anti-slip mat – very thin and lightweight, free from PVC and plasticisers, very strong grip, also suitable for painted surfaces, tested by TÜV SÜD, European patent EP 4004273, washable at 30 °C (do not spin). For shelving, pallets and under seat cushions.

Cutting to size: we supply only the rolls and standard mats listed. We do not offer cutting to size – but the material is very easy to cut yourself with scissors or a utility knife.
Important: when wet, the underlays provide no grip and no anti-slip effect. Only lay them on a dry, clean surface. With the grid mat, you achieve the best tear resistance by laying it across the winding direction of the roll.

FAQs about anti-slip underlay
What is anti-slip underlay used for?
Anti-slip underlay stops objects from sliding on smooth surfaces. Typical uses include tool drawers, storage trays in vehicles, measuring instruments, kitchen utensils and packaging.
Can the underlay be walked on?
Yes – the anti-slip underlay can be walked on, for example as a floor mat in vehicles or in dry workshop areas. When wet, the material provides no grip and no anti-slip effect – it is therefore not suitable for wet areas such as kitchens or bars. Lay it on a clean, level surface and secure the edges if necessary so that they do not create a trip hazard. For heavily used walkways where a specific slip-resistance class is required, we recommend tested slip-resistant flooring.
Is the underlay easy to cut to size?
Yes – you can cut the material to size yourself with scissors or a utility knife. We do not offer cutting to size, including for series production. We supply full 30 m × 120 cm rolls and the standard mats 40 × 120 cm and 90 × 120 cm.
