Anti-Slip Strips

Our anti-slip strips, available in self-adhesive or screw-fix versions, are the ideal way to make slippery surfaces safer indoors and outdoors and to reduce the risk of slips, trips and falls. The strips are quick, easy and effective to install and give excellent grip on decking, boat decks, ramps, stairs and other surfaces that become slippery when wet.

Made from high-quality materials, our anti-slip decking strips are hard-wearing and weatherproof, so they are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. They improve safety by reducing the risk of accidents such as slips and trips on slippery surfaces.

FAQs on Anti-Slip Strips

How many anti-slip strips do I need per step?

At least one strip on the front edge of each step, as this is where grip matters most. On slippery steps, additional strips are spread across the tread, depending on the going depth and the level of risk.

Do self-adhesive strips also stay put outdoors?

Yes, provided the material is designed for outdoor use and the surface is clean, dry and free from grease. Do not apply the strips in frost or wet conditions.

When are screw-fix strips the better choice?

Screw-fix strips are the better choice under heavy loads, with vehicle traffic, on gratings or on uneven surfaces, where they and GRP profiles hold more reliably than adhesive tapes.

Are there high-contrast strips for visually impaired people?

Yes, coloured and high-contrast strips make step edges easier to see. This is particularly useful in public buildings and care settings.
